Scouting For Food

As a part of the annual Boy Scouts of America ~ Scouting for Food program, local Cub Scouts Pack 179, Den 6 donated food to our food closet. Den Leader Andy Barbusea encouraged his Den to collect non-perishable food that could be donated. Pictured, in uniform, are Cub Scouts Christopher Barbusea and Robbie Choi. Thank you, boys for helping us feed the hungry!

Pleasant Grove High School Engineering Perfection

Pleasant Grove High School Engineering students, Stephen Lee, Leon Hung and Zac Matsumoto came down to the food bank to find out if we needed anything they could build for us.
As it turns out our table that held bread for our clients was falling apart and on its last legs. After taking specific measurements the students went back to school and got to work building the PERFECT bread shelf for us!!!

Our volunteers are so pleased with the new shelf.  The boxes we use fit perfectly and now we can more efficiently store food for distribution to our clients.

Thank you Pleasant Grove High School for the wonderful new shelving system.  Our volunteers' work is so much easier now with the system you built to our specs.
