Human Rights/Fair Housing Commission


Friday, April 6, 2012, Raheel Hayat, Staff Attorney, from the Human Rights/Fair Housing Commission will be at Elk Grove Food Bank Services. Mr. Hayat will be able to answer questions about housing discrimination, rental rights and responsibilities and hate crimes.

ESL and GED Prep Classes at EGFBS!!


Wednesday, April 11, 2012, is the start of English as a Second Language (ESL) and General Education Diploma (GED) Preparation classes at Elk Grove Food Bank Services.

In these Distance Learning classes you will check out DVDs and workbooks to work on at home. Visit your Distance Learning teacher once a week for one-on-one tutoring (15 minutes). Then check out the next DVD in the series.

This program provided at Elk Grove Food Bank Services in partnership with Elk Grove Adult and Community Education and is sponsored by the City of Elk Grove. Registration and materials fee is $55. Food Bank clients may qualify for a fee waiver.
